BIPAN Magazine Issues
WE'VE ALL GOT ISSUES 🤍
Within the pages of this volume, you will see art from across Turtle Island. Each submission unveils a personal narrative, exploring the intricacies of Queerness and its profound significance in the lives of those who identify within it. As Queer people we come from a beautiful lineage of resisting oppression which unites us with many other marginalized folks. We at Bipan understand that there are many systemic inequalities which is why we focus on creating a space that is comfortable to address these issues as a collective.
Here's to three years of storytelling, and to many more chapters of education, solidarity, liberation, and celebration. Cheers!
This volume of Bipan is more diverse than ever before! As we have cultivated a safer space (we use this term since no space can be guaranteed safe for all) for creators in our local community, our message has been able to reach outside of Turtle Island.
In volume 11b, we want to shine a spotlight on submissions from talented queer creators outside of so-called Canada; we have poetry, art, stories and more, from almost every continent in this issue including the cover art which was submitted by Fawaz Elyas Sakaw, from New Achimota, Ghana. Welcome to volume 11b, we hope you enjoy it!
In order to ensure we can honor the over 100 submissions we received, we have divided volume 11 of Bipan into sub-issues. In volume 11a we want to shine a spotlight on submissions from talented queer creators within so-called Canada; we have poetry, art, stories and more from almost every continent in the following issues! Welcome to volume 11a, we hope you enjoy it!
